UNSIL* World Fair
*United Nations Schools of International Learning
Presented by 2,000 Milwaukee Public Schools students
Tuesday - April 19, 2022 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
UWM Panther Arena – 400 W. Kilbourn Ave.
Free, open, and inspiring to the public
Stop by to visit and learn from 2,000 4th - 8th grade students from 14 MPS schools as they present displays of their work on research projects about the member countries and cultures, organs, and goals of the United Nations. It’s like a science fair but with geography, economics and more.
They are eager to show what they’ve learned about other countries and international relationships through UNSIL. This school-year program’s finale is the World Fair, where young leaders of tomorrow fill booths in the Arena to discuss real world challenges in global communities, and to enjoy cultural entertainment: singing, drumming, dancing, and an international traditional clothing fashion show representing many countries.
Discussing their work with you, the public, is the highlight of the day for the students.
For discounted parking, sign up to talk with the students at bit.ly/UNSILvolunteer
Sponsored by the Milwaukee Public Schools, MPS Foundation,
and United Nations Association – Greater Milwaukee chapter.
