The 2024 International Democracy Day Celebration in Milwaukee

Central United Methodist Church – 639 N. 25th Street – Milwaukee, WI

Free and Open to the Public 

The 2024 International Democracy Day Co-Chairs are Liddie Collins-Seigrist & Patricia McFarland

Co-sponsored by the United Nations Association of Greater Milwaukee
 

The  International Day of Democracy was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2007 to promote and uphold democratic principles.

The day's goals include:

• Advocating for democracy as a fundamental human right
• Promoting democracy as a key component of effective governance and global peace
• Assessing the global status of democracy
• Mobilizing political will and resources to address global problems

The 2024 International Democracy Day will include a call to action from the following organizations.

United Nations Association of Greater Milwaukee
League of Women Voters of Milwaukee County
100 Women on the Move
