Peace advocates have recently expressed the slogan, “Say No to NATO,” objecting to the expansion of the alliance member- ship since the collapse of the Soviet Union, bringing the North Atlantic Treaty Organization member nations to the borders of contemporary Russia.
Led by the U.S., NATO’s response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine has raised concerns about the alliance’s mission of maintaining European security.
This UNA-GM forum will examine the relationship of NATO to the UN and discuss the policies that have brought many European countries into conflict with Russia.
