Featured Speakers

Steve Watrous will speak on "Everything you need to know about COP27 in 27 minutes: the big issues and contradictions and the delicious details like a new potato chips bag made from carbon stone!"

Steve Watrous is president of the Milwaukee UNA chapter, former sociology professor at MATC, advocate on mining issues, coordinator for a couple of Milwaukee Earth Day celebrations, peace monger, and environmentalist starting in the Boy Scouts.

 Himaja Nagireddy will speak on "COP27: Key Outcomes and an Overview of the Youth Experience."

Himaja Nagireddy, from Acton, MA, is this year’s UNA-USA Youth Observer to the UN.  She participated in COP27 and served as a UNA-USA representative to COP25.  A proud daughter of South Indian immigrants, she currently serves as a health equity research fellow for the Centers for Disease Control.  She recently graduated with an MS in Environmental Epidemiology from Harvard.
